Our Program
Be a friend to a young person – that’s basically the program.
Spending time with a youth ages 6-18, backed up with professional match support, is shown to have amazing impact over time for these young people.
How much time you spend depends upon your circumstances and the type of program you choose.
- Community-based mentoring is the traditional program and most flexible to your lifestyle. Spend at least a few hours a couple times of month, although most will spend about 3-4 hours a week with the youth out in the community doing fun things you both enjoy
- Site-based mentoring requires just an hour a week at a local school or community site, spending time doing on-site activities
- High School Bigs is a program for high school students to mentor elementary school children
